Reliable Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn ISO?

Question

I've been searching for a Radiant Dawn ISO for Dolphin for a while now and everything that asks me to download the game ends up downloading a bunch of other things that take up a lot of space on my computer. Does anyone know of a site that they've used that's worked for them and Dolphin? Please post a link as well so i don't have to navigate to find what you're talking about. Thank you in advance!!

It depends on what you want out of the ISO. I've found two that both work technically, but there are differences.

The NTSC one is the same game, but on Dolphin 4.0 it runs at about 45 fps and the audio is a bit choppy. Overall, it's less enjoyable and seems to have a history of crashing for other people. I haven't seen it crash because I haven't played it very much, though I plan on testing it further in the coming days.



I'd recommend the European ISO since it's the same exact game and it doesn't have the frame rate issue or the crash issue. The only difference is that you won't have access to the same kinds of codes in case you enjoy the occasional cheat here and there. The gecko code list for the PAL version is very short and unimpressive, but most just want the game for the game so if that's you then don't worry about it. You'll be happy with the PAL version.

If you've never played a Fire Emblem game, you might get Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance for Gamecube and play it on your Wii. Radiant Dawn is supposed to be a LOT more difficult than Path of Radiance. Plus, you might kick yourself if you buy Radiant Dawn at full price and hate it when you could have bought Path of Radiance at a cheaper price. I personally think that the Fire Emblem games are amazing. They're very engaging, the characters are multi-faceted and likeable (or hateable), and each battle requires a different strategy. I'll definitely be buying it as soon as I scrape up $50.

Agreed: for anyone playing Radiant Dawn on Dolphin, the PAL version works far better. The PAL version is also easier to find online; just search for "Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn PAL" (without the quotes, obviously). The MULTi 5 version is verified to work properly. Yes, I know you want links, but there are legal ramifications to that. Run the search on the major torrent sites and/or look around for a ROM site with Wii ISO images. On torrent sites, always check first for seed/leecher counts, and second for comments. Commenters will often warn you if a torrent is fake.



Save often, as it may occasionally crash. There are one or two places where the game is much more likely crash -- Hard Mode only, as I recall. If that happens, switch your DSP to LLE mode until you finish the level/event.

If you followed our advice and found the PAL version, then add 442272 (decimal) to the code addresses (6BFA0 in hex). Works for most character codes. Windows calculator can switch between hex and dec in programmer mode. Alternatively some spreadsheet editors, such as Excel, can convert between the two using the =DEC2HEX() or =HEX2DEC() forumlae. The offset between characters in the PAL version is 1008, or 3F0 in hex.

Okay, this does not work. I downloaded it a few times and only got a **** ton of add-ons and malware that I had to remove. And whenever the file actually wants to download I get a pop-up that tells me I don't have adequate permissions to access the file.
