How can you get offline split screen multiplayer for mw2 on PC?

Is there a way that I can play with my friend on modern warfare 2 for PC on offline mode or local multiplayer?

You can play multiplayer on Xbox 360 without the Internet but it you can only really do that if you have a friend round your house up to 4 (players). But it won't be anything like playing on Xbox Live on the Internet showing your skills around the world. But to be honest I don't know any cool games that are good on split-screen but I suppose that Halo 2, Modern Warfare 2, Fiffa 11 (Those are some good examples) is very good though :) Like they say experience may change during online play. Splitscreen, only on console's .... and LAN ... id say Not really, because you need steam,.... i think its **** in my own opinion, but note you can do about it, you create your account as normal, unless you already have one for steam, ,... it should allow you to connect over LAN by selecting online, on the menu... that's if you have a legit version of the game, if not there is ways round it as many people know, and have proved it works, but im not going to go into that as its illegal.



However if you have a legit version of the game, and still wish to play offline, You could use :



TeknoGods_MW2SP for spec ops play, which is co-op

Due to you already having bought the game, i wouldnt see a reason you couldnt use it, aslong as you have bought the game for each individual computer.

Any game that has over 4-6 online players is not good. ie: cod, halo, battlefield. Valve usually keeps this in mind. Left 4 dead or portal are great examples. Minecraft on the 360 is also pretty good
