The processor you have mentioned is i3's 2nd generation. You can get AMD's FX-4100 which is a 3.7 Ghz Quad core processor at the same price. Its cheaper due to its lack of marketing compared to Intel. Otherwise the quality is same as Intel.

I have compared i7 quad core and this FX-4100, both get same numbers in Windows Experience Index. So you get a performance of i7 Quad core at the price of i3 from AMD's FX-4100.

If you take AMD, only the motherboard will change. A basic motherboard like Giagbyte 78M-S2PT will be good. Or else go for Gigabyte 880G which will come for about the same price you have mentioned here. When you have graphic card, no need to get 880G, just go for 78M like basic motherboards (that's 760 G series).

Also I strongly suggest to buy Sony DVD writer. A new LG drive broke my CD. I have played moveis for long in Sony. Samsung also has some faults, like it stops writing or reading a type of disc, which is a very common problem. So go for Sony. Any DVD writer when not used for a month will stop working completely, its tray will not respond.

I myself use 6670 card. Its the cheapest GDDR5 graphic card and still one of the best in performance. Most latest games can be played at 60 fps at high resolution. That's equivalent to a Blu-ray format's frame rate.

For Hardcore Gaming, you should get HD 7770 or better, rest is fine.
