Before I say anything,you should know my PC specs:
Intel Celeron 2.60 GHz;
1.75 GB DDR RAM;
NVidiaGeforce 6200 256 MB (Pixel Shader 3.0);
80 GB HDD;
I reinstalled my system 2 days ago(Windows XP SP2),because i had some problems with the graphic card.Most of the games i tried to play had massive lag and low fps.
Anymays,that problem is now gonne.It was something about two graphic card drivers installed at the same time(This NVidia driver and my old graphic card driver - ATI Radeon 9250,128 MB),and some system error caused by it.
Now i can play some games i couldn't play before.For example,Digimon Masters Online.It's MMORPG game,which used to give me some really painful lag before.
Now I can run it,but i still have problems.It's not terrible like before,but...
When i enter the game,or some of the maps in it,first 1-2 seconds,i can't see any of other player's characters,or their Digimon.The map is empty.At least it looks like it.
In that moment,the game works perfectly.No lag,No low fps....i can rotate my mouse and walk around without any problem.
But then game freezes for about a second,then all other players and their Digimon just start showing up,and then i experience terrible lag and low fps.
Of course,the game is still playable,but low fps is really annoying.
Here is minimum and recommended system requirements of the game:
-Minimum:
Pentium 4 or higher;
256 MB RAM;
GeForce FX5200 or higher;
2GB HDD.
-Recommended:
Pentium 4 or higher;
512 MB RAM;
GeForce 6200 or higher;
4GB HDD.
So,it appears that i have everything except CPU.My CPU is Intel Celeron 2.60 GHz which is weaker then game's requirements.
Can that be the problem this lag i described?Because,I'm pretty sure it's not the graphic card,like before... -_-'
I already tried all of the Game-Boosting-Software available,and it didn't help.The only thing i can do is upgrade my PC.I don't have really much money,so i can't afford new gaming PC,but i'm ready to take some smaller steps.
If i upgrade my CPU to Pentium 4(3.0-3.1 GHz),and my RAM memory from 1.75 GB to 2.0 GB,could it help me get more FPS in games like this?I know it's not gonna be much of a help,but can it improve my gameplay performance?
Also,which one is better,Pentium 4 or Intel Celeron D?Which one to get?
I really appretiate any help,
thank you... :))
