So I was able to buy a "SteelSeries World of Warcraft Cataclysm MMO Gaming Mouse" for a rather cheap price. However , even though the mouse works just fine, I can't do anything more than left or right click and use the wheel in the center. All the other 11 other buttons are useless. I know they work because I can use them in the chat in League of Legends but I can't use them to activate my spells. I've tried binding my keys in the in-game menu but have found no success . I've downloaded and installed the latest drivers but It still doesn't change anything. Is there a way to get LoL to recognize my mouse and allow me to use it in the game?

Make sure the "Enable In-Game" box in unchecked.

EDIT: It seems the default mouse buttons for the Cataclysm mouse simply aren't recognized by LoL. To fix this, create macros in the Cataclysm mouse software and set them to the buttons you want to use. Only make them a single button press. For example, I made Q, W, E, R, 1, 2, and 3. (Note: Don't worry about "Windows Button 4 and 5", which are the back and forward buttons for internet browsers. Those buttons ARE recognized by LoL.) Then, enter a game of LoL, hit escape, and simply bind the buttons you want! It's more work than it should be, but it finally worked.

World of Warcraft requires a subscription fee to be paid to allow continued play, with options to pay in one month, three month, or six month blocks, although time cards of varying length are available both online and from traditional retailers.
