Question:
PC still can't run BF3?

Recently, I have just built a gaming computer (my first) and it can't even run BF3. My friend gave me his a sheet full of his specs and he said it could run BF3 on high settings. The fact is, that on my PC, it can barely run it on LOW settings. I don't understand!? How can I even play BF4 when I can't even run BF3?

This is my PC:

Themaltake V4 Case w/500 USB 3.0
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium (64 Bit)
WD 2TB Green SATA 3 HD
Gigabyte GA-B85M-D3H Intel Mainboard
CPU - Intel Core i5-4570 3.2 GHz
GPU - Asus GeForce GTX 660 DirectCU II OC 2 GB
Ram - 8GB

I even asked the guy who built it if it can run BF3 on at least medium - high settings. He said, 'Of course. Definitely'. I've messed around in the settings and it still lags just a tiny bit on low settings. I was really looking forward to the next Battlefield game and it looks like I won't be able to play it.

Is it something I did? And it's not the servers. My ping is usually around 10-20 on Australian servers so that can't be it. Help would really be appreciated. Thanks :)

Most likely BF3 is trying to use the CPU's integrated GPU instead of your dedicated GPU. This is a common problem with CPUs that have integrated GPUs.

To fix this problem, open the Nvidia Control Panel and click Manage 3D Settings. Find the Program Settings button and click it. Click Add and browse to the install directory of BF3 and find the main program executable. This forces the game to use your dedicated GPU instead of the CPU's integrated GPU.

Hi there,

If you are looking for a free download of Kerbal Space Program you can check here: http://j.mp/1BDyslU

it's a perfectly working link, no scam!

StarCraft II is a military science fiction real-time strategy video game. It is the sequel of StarCraft. The gameplay mechanics still the same. You need to create your base, build structures and train units in order to beat the enemies.

I love it!

You sure you installed everything correctly?

Because you should be able to run on High.

Perhaps your power supply is insufficient.
