Sure, it's possible, and should work for most all of your older games. Install the game(s); many of them should work right after installing them, but if not, go to the folder where you installed the game(s), and right-click on the ".exe" file for the game. Click on "properties," then click on the "compatibility" tab. Put a check in the box that says "Run this program in compatibility mode for:", and then select the appropriate OS in the drop-down menu. Enjoy! :o)

Right click to main "exe" file that runs the game, Select "Properties".
In "Compatibility" tab, select the proper operating system to be used, and select "640x480 resolution" and "256 colors" options if necessary.
Note : This may not work with DOS games that using Windows Sound System and that labeled as "Windows 95" game..
(for example : Duke Nukem 3D 1.3 [Atomic Edition has 32bit NT Support feature, yay] , Need For Speed)

Hi, XP should play most games designed for 95/98.
I regularly play games designed for old systems, they all seem to work ok. Try loading them and if you have problems you can always dump em! you won't harm your computer.
Good luck.

You should be able to use the Windows 95 stuff by using the compatiblility mode worked int windows XP, however it is not perfect and can be very buggy.

A trick that I have used a few times is to boot into safe mode and install the game from there. Then reboot to XP and play away!

If you right-click on the game icon in "My computer" then click on explore.
When you find a file then ends with ".exe", right click on it and click on properties. There should be a compatibility tab.
Click this then select windows 95 mode.
Enjoy playing your old games :)
