Skyrim PC not getting passed load screen?

Question

Haven't played Skyrim for about 2 days and today when i load it up it wont get passed the load/play screen.
a "User Account Control" window pops up asking if i want the following program to make changes
Program name : Skyrim Launcher
Verified publisher: Bethesda Softworks
File origin : Hard drive on this computer
Program location: "E:\Program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\skyrim\SkyrimLauncher.exe"

and then asks yes or no.
i click yes. the load screen just loads again. i click play. same user account window pops up.
so i click no. no difference


what's going on?

you might want to restart your computer and if the same problems happen again, you can try right clicking the game and click "run as administrator", and if it doesn't help, then you're on your own.
