Regarding Valve's new CS 1.6 Steam Update. Why are people raging?

Valve recently released a new steam update for Counter Strike 1.6, and people are raging at it.
So far I understood that they cleand up the mass redirect issue, but I couldn't find anything about how would this update affect the Non Steam Server communities.

I CAN'T ******* FIX THE FPS

It won't go below 500

and I have fps_max 120 developer 1, same happens with developer 0

I like that I can change sensitivity to 0.2

other than that I don't see major change

but why the **** change a game that has been successful for more than 10 years now

I have now 400 FPS (lol) with fps_max 1 or 10-20 and developer 0 (800x600). If I have high fps I have no recoil (LOL)

I move like an old man(also I have "gravity")

I don't know where the screenshot are saved, even cstrike I don't know where it is.

My crosshair (large) is like a small crosshair

Metamod is ... up. I can't change the maps anymore(when I try to change the map to e.g. de_dust2 the server is shutting down and then the default map). I tried metamod p but I can't start my server with metamod p

These are problems that I saw in 10 minutes of playing.

The good things: many will say "goodbye" and try something diferent (cs: go) (or not)

my steam settings of mouse has changed



it seems like mouse fix and noforce commands are put while i dont like using them



fps is getting nice and the only problem is with my mouse sensitivity its been too slow :(
