Hi Guys, I am mentally confused a lot after having read too many reviews for Console or PC gaming?. I would like to upgrade my PC, with better GPU such as GTX 560 \560 ti and a compatible PSU say 500 W. PC upgrade costs (GPU+PSU) close to 18,000 INR \ 352 US$(for 560 Ti) and 15,000\290US$ (for 560) in INR approx.
PS3 160GB costs close to say 17,000 INR\US$330.I cannot buy online. These are the prices in INDIA.
My confusion is for the price of GPU card GTX 560+PSU, is buying a PS3 worth?. I mean, will this GPU 560GTX be capable of handling all games like how PS3 plays?. In some reviews for Dx11, I have seen like Alien vs predator,Metro 2033 scoring less FPS in HD with high settings for 560 GPU. I dont know how PS3 handles graphics here.

1) If PS3 can out perform much better in FPS and in graphics look than GTX 560 or GTX 560 ti?. If PS3 s more powerful, then why to invest equivalent cost in building PC?. Since my processor is also Pentium D 3.00 GHz. Please considering my slow CPU with 2 GB RAM (I can upgrade RAM) too!. If u say my CPU will spoil much in this competition, then I can take PS3, I dont have any option now to UPGRADE MY CPU RIGHT NOW

2) Or if GTX 560 s powerful and can handle better graphics than PS3, I can forget about PS3 and go for PC.

I am more into PC games only, but when the PC upgradation costs as well as my slower CPU come close to PS3, I get lots of confusion and unsteady mind.Because after buying this, I should not feel, like oh no I should have better upgraded my PC!!!.

Please help me which of these two choices will get me better graphics per game per money and how long I can stay on the line?. .

Thanks guys, please suggest your thoughts, anything will be helpful, your help is very much appreciated!!!

I dont wish to change PS3\other GPU in this context

If you intend to upgrade to GTX 560, make sure its GTX 560 Ti not the standard 560! A vast difference in performance capabilities! Alright, back to the question, i think it all boils down to whether or not you have any interest in those PS3 exclusive games( Uncharted series, Kill zone, God of War ) etc.. If you choose to upgrade your pc, you would suffer a severe bottleneck because of your outdated and slow processor. I would recommend the Phenom II X4 BE 955 if you were to upgrade your CPU as well. As far as money is concerned, going with the PS3 is a much more safer choice as it guarantees that games will work and you won't run into any issues like pc unable to run games and low frame rates because games made for PS3 are very optimised. A cpu upgrade is definitely necessary if i were you because not only your system would not bring the potential of gtx 560 ti down, it would also make alot of noise ( seriously ) .. so i would suggest upgrading your whole system ( trust me, its better in the long run since you also prefer pc gaming. i switched to ps3 console gaming and it took quite awhile for me to get accustomed to the controller.. i just love the mouse and keyboard. )

Well, with a PC you won't be able to play PS3 exclusive games, obviously.

But the 560 Ti can play pretty much anything at high or better with at least 30fps. AT LEAST.

Consoles (360/PS3) tend to run things at low/medium. I would upgrade the PC, because there is a much wider range of games to play. If you ever get into MMOs, like WoW or LoL or the new star wars game, you will be able to play it.

I would say PC

i won't be able to recommend paying for Ps3 now because of the fact Ps4 is approximately to be released and the fee of PS3 is going to be down.in case you elect for great Gaming then flow with workstation dude because of the fact in case you purchase a clean Nvidia GTX 680MX or Titan image taking part in cards then Gaming would be severe.yet interior the case saving finances purchase Ps3 after a while or wait to purchase Ps4.and likewise in case you purchase a Gaming workstation like Alien ware then it even have the function of taking part in Blue rays and likewise categories of emulators are obtainable for workstation which incorporate Ps3 emulator I.e you could Play Ps3 video games on workstation yet workstation video games won't be able to be performed on Ps3.So after the launch of Ps4 in case you employ those image taking part in cards that i discussed earlier then i think of you recognize that console technology are continually one technology in the back of workstation.

Go for PS3 because you will not be able to play PS3 exclusive games as some games are only available on PS3
