So here s my story.
I bought a 15.5 euro worth controller from brand called "bigben play"
it is a wired controller and it literally says "compitable with withings xp/vista/7" on the box!
I plugged it in my computer and went to steam big picture and it instantly worked!
but non of the games I tried it on worked (skyrim and metro 2033)

so I started to google and found out something about a program called motioninjoy or whatever and I tried it but I keep getting an error
error code:0x-1ffffdd8
i googled that and it said something about a digital signature?
tried to fix that, no success

then I went to this video
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bRFIqysSeD4
using something else called SCP and did everything the dude said
n o success : (
i m kinda getting frustrated :/

last time I checked 1 euro was 1 and a half dollar so : p it wasn t THAT expensive but kind off a waste of money if it doesn t work and I really want it to work ;^; i lent someones xbox controller and it worked with that but that was 60 euro and i didn t wanna pay that : p

does anyone have an idea? I can t return it to the store :/

You did navigate to the Options menu in the "Skyrim" game to check the Controller Box, before you started messing with third party drivers and patches? Many times you have to tell the game to use a GamePad over the K&M or they don't know to use it.

Generally speaking trying to go on the Cheap using Console Controllers usually causes problems.

Better to have purchased a proper PC GamePad such as Logitech, or Seitek, which may work without installing drivers, IF the game supports a GamePad, (some even when they don't)..

Windows 8 *sucks* for anything like that. It doesn't play well with such devices.

Go to the website for the controller and check for drivers and patches.
