go into your sound settings in your control pannel and make sure that your computer is set to use that specific audio device and that its set to the correct settings for your speakers (audio bitrate and frequency and number of channels and such)

If that doesnt work it could be that you are putting a stereo signal into your 5.1 speakers (which by the sounds of it you are) in which case I suggest you buy a cheap 5.1 channel sound card and connect it to that which will give you the full surround sound

verify that your sound board is tight in it is slot, take in out, blow the slot out with a can of air and reinstall it... additionally verify that your plugs are interior the holes each and each of ways. while you're enjoying a CD wiggle the plugs and faucet on the edge of the cardboard with a pencil eraser it could have some unfastened chip or undesirable connection on it. Shake you audio equipment a sprint to work out in the event that they have unfastened inner connection too. stable success you're able to additionally attempt the board in yet another slot too.

I would guess you're over-using your sound card... Try turning off either music in Wow and leave sound, or you could just turn off all sound effects... Since it's not a custom sound card, my guess is it's just not good enough...

It may be that your processor does not exactly meet the suggested system requirements. Check the box for the system requirements and see if this is true.

Have you checked the "sound interface" options?

I have trouble balancing the ambient, sound effects and all the other choices.
