I am looking for a PC hex based WW2 strategy game that was available in the early 90's.?

The game was based on Europe and used symbols for units and formations. you usually played against the PC. It ran from a single floppy disk and could run off the old 2086's. It took the player in turn based moves through a campaign in Europe from Italy and Normandy. Does anyone know where I might find it nowadays?

I don't know the exact answer, but it is probably one of the games listed on this page from "Strategic Simulations" the most famous computer wargame producer...

Hex + Shining tension --- nicely dude you will like conflict for Wesnoth, yet do no longer assume too lots from that type. laptop is, regrettably, very vulnerable for desirable tactical RPG type and incredibly some trpg for laptop are idiotic and made with none soul in them... quite attempt to seek some for emulators and in case you do no longer opt to - I certainly have a tenet for you - Play terraria a million.a million.2
