this guy said if i want to download counter-strike i need a graphics card.....he said without it i'll always be lagging out of the game. What is it and where can i find one?

First David, I have to answer with a question. What kind of computer do you have now? I need the spec to be able to tell you what kind of video card you can use.

well you dont need it to download the game but to play it. a lot of games require a higher graphics card then others. most of todays games, meaning current games just coming out, are competing with the xbox 360 and ps3 graphics, so a much higher card is required. i myself needed one and come to find out my motherboard doesnt support it. this is one thing you will need to consider as well when looking into getting a new graphics card. my advice would be for you to go to best buy and get them to help you find the right card for you. to be on the safe side, bring in the specs of your computer for them so they can help you better. there are many things that go into a computer being able to run a game, not just the graphics, but your memory and space as well. so letting the best buy people know all the information about your computer will help them determine what all you need.

Counter-Strike isnt overly heavy on graphics, I am able to play it on my laptop with an underclocked ATI X300 mobility but it doesnt look the best...try looking for an ATI X700 or 800 as they should be available in both PCI-e and AGP x8 versions or a nVidia geforce 6700 or 6800, they will give you enough powe to play most oldish games with medium graphics

Yep u to play a game that uses a lot of graphics power, its best u get a dedicated graphics chip/ card so games will not only less lagg but also run smoother and look better, u should get resolution options to play ur game on. My pc uses a
ATI Radeon 9550 model graphics card in the pc's pci slot.
its 256mb but u can get better 1s than that.
