I have a xbox controller hooked up to my computer and i can use it to play pc games. Now i was wondering if i download a ps3 emulator, to play ps3 games on my computer, will the controller work with the emulator, or will i need a ps3 controller for it to work, or will neither work?

That is the ONLY real ps3 emulator. Its really far away from being able to play any commercial game. It will be quite a few years before ps3 emulation is possible, especially since current gen hardware would likely be no where near powerful enough for ps3 emulation, even with massive tweaking for speed rather then accuracy/compatibility.

As if/when it came out, im sure it will support xbox360 controllers, or atleast be able to use a plugin like pokopom which is made for xinput comtrollers.

If a PS3 emulator existed, it would probably work with a 360 controller for most games, except anything that requires a Sixaxis.

Keyword is if one existed. There isn't an emulator out there to actually test this with. Before you post that EmulatorX thing, I can tell you it's a load of crap.

opt to apply your psthree controller to play your popular computer video games? even as the PS3 controller does no longer artwork natively in homestead windows like the Xbox 360 controller, you could deploy custom drivers that enable the PS3 controller to imitate the Xbox 360 controller's function. this can assist you to apply the PS3 controller in any interest that helps the Xbox 360 controller
