To become a game tester and get paid for it you first need some beta experience to prove you know how to bug and fault find games. Try looking for open beta versions of games that are in production and try signing up for closed betas onve you have some experience with open betas. Also another thing you can try to get some experience is play on the World of Warcraft Public Test Realm for when they are trying out new patches (you will need some prior knowledge of WoW for this). Once you have plenty of experience with beta testing and fault finding in games and are able to provide detailed reports on errors, glitches and bugs then try and get on the development team as an alpha tester on a new program and help out with that. Also in your spare time try writing some reviews for games you have played (preferably for the company you wish to work for) and put them up on well known sites.



Once you have all this experience then start looking for jobs as games testers and developers as they will be looking for someone with beta and alpha testing experience. Also learning 1 or 2 scripting/programming languages would be extreemly beneficial in applying for a job as a games tester.
