I have both an Xbox 360 Elite and a pretty good gaming computer(Not quite the BEST, but it can still run all of the best games that I've tried so far), and my good friend has an Xbox 360, and a computer that he no longer uses(It can't even run World of Warcraft), so basically just an Xbox 360. Earlier today, we had a brief discussion about whether a PC or an Xbox 360 is better for gaming. He had argued that not only does the Xbox have a larger, better community, but that it doesn't cost a lot of money to enable it to run games. Of course, we had then expanded our arguments beyond actual gaming in that he believes it's just easier to play movies on an 360 than on a computer. He had also argued that the Xbox Live Marketplace is overall better than Steam, a PC Gaming interface in which one can easily buy games online, and interact in a very large community. I do enjoy using both in that they have their strengths and weaknesses, but overall, I still believe that the PC is better.

After this debate, I went home and did some research, and through a few forums, I was able to find this information, even though it is more biased towards the PC

Gaming PC
PCs can play with a 60 and higher FPS

PCs have 1920x1200 and 2560x1600 resolutions.

PCs have better graphics(lighting, textures, shaders etc).

PCs have Anti-aliasing and Anisotropic filtering.

PCs enable a wide variety of mods for games.

With a PC, some games enable you to play with 50+ players.
With a PC you can enable a dedicated server.
There are tons of exclusives on PC gaming like Starcraft 2, Diablo 3, Stalker, Crysis, the Witcher, Empire Total War, etc.
If you like RTS and MMORPGS then PC is your only choice.
Not all PCs have the ability to play games; some need to make the purchases necessary

Xbox 360
"Pop in your game and play"
No addons necessary, everything you need is in the console.
Very popular exclusives such as most of the Halo series, Gears of War, and Fable(upon early release time)
Consoles play with a 20-30 FPS framerate
Consoles use a 1280×720 resolution, and occasionally a sub HD
With an Xbox 360, the highest player server goes up to 16 players
Peer-to-peer only server (If one person lags, everyone lags)

But even with this information, I cannot be completely sure which is better, and thus, do not have what I need to prove to my friend that the PC is truly better.

So my question is, PC or Xbox 360?

From your question, it is known that the PC is better. You can get more graphics and gaming experience. A X BOX 360 cannot done tasks that done by a PC.

Xbox 360 is the easier option for the money and total efficiency. I am a dedicated computer gamer and don't possess a 360, but if i have been on your position i might obviously go together with the 360. The improvements on hand for laptops are very limited in comparison with upgrades for desktops. You would be getting a laptop, however that may be far more costly than a 360. Sell or supply away your pc copy of Bioshock and get an Xbox 360. And be certain to get Bioshock for it on the grounds that it is a sweet recreation.
