When it started, I would get maybe 5 minutes of gameplay, then my computer would freeze. I set all the video/graphics settings to as low as they would go, and I disabled fullscreen mode. Now the crashes when I'm starting up a game as it tells you about your civilization! It didn't freeze my computer though, it just did the "CIV5 has stopped working... searching for solution" thing. I'm running DX11. I pirated the game from here>http://thepiratebay.se/torrent/5850233/Sid.Meiers.Civilization.V-SKIDROW-[tracker.BTARENA.org].iso
I followed the instructions from the youtube video here> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6tOkP3blOec
I did the Computer>Manage>EventViewer>WIndowsLogs>Applications and it came up with a ton of errors from "Bonjour Services", and one from civ5_DX11.exe. Here is what that one said: Faulting application name: CivilizationV_DX11.exe, version: 1.0.0.17, time stamp: 0x4c9b9292
Faulting module name: d3d11.dll, version: 6.1.7601.17514, time stamp: 0x4ce7b7b0
Exception code: 0xc0000005
Fault offset: 0x000299d7
Faulting process id: 0x510
Faulting application start time: 0x01cd4368af1b204c
Faulting application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Sid Meier's Civilization V\CivilizationV_DX11.exe
Faulting module path: C:\Windows\system32\d3d11.dll

Thank You in advance!

looks like you picked up a faulty file from pirate bay. try a different crack, and if it doesn't work, download another copy of Civ V. I f still not working, the problem is not the game, it's your computer since it probably can't run the scripts and even low graphics. give me your pc specs for evaluation

There are several solutions to civilization crashing here: http://www.thefakegeek.com/2013/12/how-to-stop-civilization-v-from-freezing-and-crashing/

Solution 1 worked for me.
