I have had supreme commander for several years and haven't been able to run it on the pc I used to have. I don't want to spend much money (>$50 if possible), get a pc, or get windows. I tried out Crossover Games, which gave supreme commander a "gold" compatibility rating, but I couldn't play it past the installation. Is there some way I can install wine directly onto my Mac OS X? I also have a linux partition with boot camp, but I would strongly not prefer to use that, unless it is a better option than rewriting a wine program (I have no programming experience). If linux would be the best option, does the latest wine version support supreme commander? I believe I have kubuntu.

If CrossOver Games gave supreme commander a gold compatibility, then is should run very well. I would put in a support ticker to CodeWeavers, http://www.codeweavers.com/support/tickets/enter/, and they will be able to get you up and running.

You can also check out the Supreme Commander forum on their website, http://www.codeweavers.com/compatibility/browse/name/?app_id=2725;forum=1, to see if anyone had similar problems and how they were fixed.

Good Luck!

Hello,

Are you wondering how to downoad for free Supreme Commander 2? You can get it for free here: http://bitly.com/1rlLxNR

it's a perfectly working link, no scam!

In Supreme Commander, you are involved in a planetary conflict on a huge scale.

It's a great game.

If you have a 64-bit Intel Mac and OSX, just use Virtual Box and run Windows as a guest. It runs native speed that way.

Darwine is the native Mac Wine port. http://darwine.sourceforge.net/download.php It's still very much a work in progress.
