I'm guessing your computer is just a stock standard desktop office PC which means it has no dedicated graphics card and is probably running of an Intel GMA which wont play anything (well it will but nothing you want to play :P) Your best option is to find out if it has an AGP or PCI-e slot for the graphics card and then buy one accordingly. If you acnt work out what kind of slot it has then take it into a computer store and they will be able to tell you.

As for the graphics card that you will need to play it I recommend an ATI X800 or a nVidia 6600 or 7400 but if you want more quality and power try for an ATI X1800 or nVidia 7800
